Overview: Dashboard

The Dashboard is your central performance view in EdgeFlo. It shows your account balance, closed PnL, win rate, average R, profit factor, equity curve, EdgeScore, recent trades, and today's discipline summary in one place.

The Dashboard is the first place you should open before you trade and the last place you should check after your session ends. It gives you an honest, data-driven snapshot of your trading performance across metrics that actually matter, without the noise of raw trade logs or spreadsheets.

The Dashboard does not just show how much money you made. It shows how you traded, so you can actively improve the process behind the results.

Getting to the Dashboard

Select Dashboard from the left navigation bar. The Dashboard loads immediately with your current account data. If you have more than one broker account connected, the Dashboard reflects the account that is currently active in your settings.

What the Dashboard Shows

The Dashboard is divided into five main areas that work together to give you a complete picture of your trading health.

Key Performance Metrics Bar

At the top of the Dashboard, five metric cards show your most important performance numbers for the selected time period. These are Account Balance, Total Closed PnL, Win Rate, Avg R Per Trade, and Profit Factor. All metrics reflect closed positions only. Open trades are not included in these figures.

Key Performance Indicators

Account Balance Chart

The main chart in the left column shows your account equity curve over the selected time period. It displays how your balance has grown or declined across sessions. Hovering over the curve reveals the exact balance value at any point in time. This chart responds to the time filter controls above it.

EdgeScore Panel

The right column shows your EdgeScore, a composite score out of 100 that measures your Performance, Discipline, and Consistency based on your latest 100 closed trades. EdgeScore is the single most informative view of how you are actually trading, separate from short-term PnL outcomes.

Recent Trades and Discipline Summary

The bottom half of the Dashboard shows your recent closed trades in the left column and today's discipline summary in the right column. The recent trades table gives you a quick read on the last several positions without opening the Journal. The discipline summary shows your trade count, net PnL progress bar, max loss and daily target thresholds, and any guardrail alerts triggered today.

The Time Filter

The Time Filter

The time filter in the top-right corner lets you choose the period for all dashboard data: Today, 7D, 30D, 90D, YTD, All. Changing it updates the metrics bar (closed PnL, win rate, average R, profit factor) and the equity curve instantly.

These Dashboard items remain unchanged when switching the time filter:

  • Recent Trades shows your most recent closed positions from the last 24 hours, unaffected by the time filter
  • Guardrails display reflects the current trading day only, based on the most recent 24 hours
  • EdgeScore will not change when you adjust the time filter, since it is always calculated from your most recent 100 closed trades regardless of date range

When to Use the Dashboard

Use the Dashboard twice daily: before your session to gauge your current trajectory, and after to review the day’s performance before diving into the Journal. It’s a quick way to check if you’re trading well, but not a substitute for the Journal or weekly review.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Dashboard include open positions in PnL?

No. PnL and metrics only reflect closed positions. Hover over the Total Closed PnL card to confirm.

Why is my Account Balance different from Total Closed PnL?

Account Balance is your total value; Total Closed PnL is net gains/losses from closed trades in the selected period. They differ by design.

How often does the Dashboard update?

Metrics and trades update in real time as positions close. EdgeScore updates after each closed trade. Today's Discipline Summary updates during the session.
