How to Track and Review Your Meditation Stats

Sanctuary tracks every completed meditation session and displays your progress in the Your Progress panel on the right side of the screen. This article explains what the panel shows, how to view your full session log, how to read your streak data, and why consistency in Sanctuary matters for your trading performance.

Sanctuary does not ask you to trust that meditation helps your trading. It shows you. Every completed session is logged automatically with the date, time, duration, mood, and any reflection you wrote. Over time, your session data gives you a clear picture of how consistently you are maintaining your mental routine and how that consistency connects to the quality of your trading days.

The Your Progress Panel

The Your Progress panel lives in the top-right corner of Sanctuary, next to the meditation timer. It is always visible when you open Sanctuary and updates immediately after each completed session.

Progress
  • This Week Sessions: Seven dots represent your daily session activity. A green dot with a checkmark means you completed a session that day; an empty circle means none. This shows your weekly consistency at a glance.
  • Minutes This Week: Minutes this week displays the total meditation minutes from all sessions this calendar week.
  • Current Streak: The flame icon and number show your current streak of consecutive days with at least one session completed before 11:59pm. Missing a day resets the streak. Your longest streak appears when you expand the panel.
  • View All Stats and Expand: Use the View Sessions button at the top to open the full session log. Click View All Stats at the bottom to expand the panel and see three additional lifetime stats: Longest Streak, Total Meditation Minutes, Total Sessions

The Meditation Sessions Log

Click View Sessions in the progress panel to open the full Meditation Sessions Log. This is your complete historical record of every completed session.

Sessions Log

What the Log Shows

The log is a scrollable table organised by date, newest first, with month headers separating entries. Each row contains four columns:

Column What it shows
Date, Time The date and clock time the session was saved. Sessions on the same day appear as separate rows.
Duration The length of the completed session in minutes.
Mood The mood you selected in the post-session check-in, shown with its emoji label. Empty if you skipped the mood selector.
Reflection The text you typed in the optional reflection field. Long reflections are truncated with a More link.

How to Track Your Progress Over Time

Use the session log to spot weekly patterns, not just individual sessions. Consider these four questions during your weekly review:

Are there gaps in the week? Empty circles on certain days mean you skipped a mental reset before trading. Check your Journal to see if discipline or decision quality dropped on those days.

What mood do I log most? Frequent Agitated or Frustrated moods signal sessions may be too short or poorly timed. Calm moods before the market open indicate a good mental state.

Is my weekly time increasing or decreasing? Less time spent often leads to performance drops and more discipline issues.

What do my reflections reveal? Reviewing notes can uncover patterns, like difficulty letting go of trades, which may call for targeted Rewire sessions.

Streak Rules

A session counts toward your streak only if fully completed. Ending early or closing the tab before the timer ends does not count.

One completed session per day counts as one streak day, regardless of how many sessions you do. Multiple sessions increase weekly minutes but not streak value.

The streak resets if no session is finished before midnight, based on your local system time, even when traveling across time zones.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I edit or delete past session entries?

No, session entries are saved automatically after the post-session check-in and cannot be edited or deleted. If you skipped mood or reflection, those fields stay blank.

Why does my streak show zero after completing a session?

Only fully completed sessions count. If you ended a session early with the End session button, it won't be saved. Check the session log to confirm if the session appears.

Where is my logged mood data stored?

Mood data is saved in your Meditation Sessions Log under the Mood column.

How can I improve my streak if I keep forgetting to meditate?

Link your Sanctuary session to an existing daily habit, like starting your pre-market routine with it. Even a five-minute session counts and helps maintain your streak.
