Setting Your Timezone in Edgeflo

Your timezone setting controls how all time-based features behave inside Edgeflo. Once configured, it ensures that routines, trading windows, journal timestamps, analytics, and charts align with your local trading day.

Where to Set Your Timezone

Settings → Account → Preferences → Timezone

  • Default: UTC
  • Takes effect: Immediately after saving and refreshing the app
  • Applies to: Pre-Market Routine, Trading Window, Trade Journal, Dashboard, Charts, News Block, and Session Analytics

Why Setting Your Timezone Matters

Edgeflo is a time-aware trading platform. Many features depend on the correct local time to function properly. If your timezone is not set correctly:

  • Trading windows may block trades at the wrong time
  • Pre-market routines may reset during your trading session
  • Journal timestamps may not match your trading day
  • Daily guardrails may reset in the middle of your session
  • Charts may display UTC instead of your local time

Setting your timezone once ensures every time-based feature aligns with your local trading schedule.

How Timezone Affects Key Edgeflo Features

Pre-Market Routine The timezone controls when your routine resets each day. If it is incorrect, the routine may reset during your trading session.
Trading Window (Guardrails) Your allowed trading hours are interpreted using your timezone. If the timezone is incorrect, trades may be blocked during your actual session.
News Block The pre and post window around economic news events is calculated using your local timezone.
Trade Journal All trade entry and exit timestamps are displayed in your local timezone.
Dashboard and Analytics Daily performance, guardrail resets, and session analytics rely on your timezone to determine the trading day.
Charts The time axis and session indicators on charts use your timezone.
Post-Trade Emotion Prompts Emotion tags and notes are timestamped using your timezone before syncing to the journal.
