The Weekly AI Report in EdgeFlo generates an automated analysis of your trading week, covering what worked, what did not, your discipline breakdown, emotional patterns, and one actionable focus for the week ahead.
At the end of each trading week, EdgeFlo generates a structured AI analysis based on your actual trade data, guardrail violations, emotion tags, journal notes, and pre-market routine completions. The result is a focused summary of the week with a single priority for the week ahead.
The AI does not tell you what to trade. It tells you what the data says about how you traded. The goal is awareness, not prediction.
Accessing the Weekly AI Report
- Select Journal from the left navigation bar.
- On the calendar, click a day in the week you want to review. The day panel opens on the right.
- In the Weekly Breakdown section below the calendar, click the week tile you want to review.
- The Weekly Review page opens, showing Week Details on the left and the AI Analysis on the right.
Alternatively, click the pencil icon next to any week day row in the day panel to go directly to the weekly review for that week.
Note: Weekly AI Reports are generated at the end of each week only, not daily or after individual trading sessions. You cannot access the report midway through the week.
What the Weekly Review Page Shows
Week Details
The left panel shows the headline performance data for the week:
- Weekly Net PnL: Total closed PnL across all trading days in the week.
- Total Trades: Number of trades closed across the week.
- Win Rate: Percentage of winning trades for the week.
- Best Trade: The highest-PnL trade of the week.
- Worst Trade: The lowest-PnL trade of the week.
Below the summary stats, the Daily Review table shows each day of the week with trade count, PnL, and a note icon. Click any row in the Daily Review table to open a drill-down panel for that specific day, showing all trades, daily stats, and your day note for that session.
The Discipline Report
The right panel begins with the Discipline Report. This section lists every guardrail violation that occurred during the week, grouped by rule type. Each violation shows which rule was broken, how many times it was broken, and on which days.
Examples of what appears here: Exceeded max daily loss, Traded after profit target hit, Exceeded max trades per day, Traded outside planned hours.
The summary at the top of the Discipline Report shows the total number of violations across the week and how many trading days were affected.
Note: The Discipline Report is not a punishment. It is a mirror. Patterns of the same violation appearing across multiple days in a week are a clear signal that the rule needs to be internalised more deeply or the guardrail setting needs to be adjusted.
The AI Analysis Section
Below the Discipline Report, the AI Analysis section contains the generated weekly report. If the report is still being generated when you open the page, you will see a loading indicator with the text Generating summary... while the analysis processes.
Once generated, the AI Analysis contains four components:
Opening Summary
A two to three sentence plain-language summary of the week's dominant pattern. This is based on the combination of your trade outcomes, guardrail data, emotion tags, and journal notes. It identifies what the week's data is actually pointing to, for example a cluster of rule breaches on specific days, or a pattern of rushed entries following missed moves.
What Worked
A list of two to four specific things that produced positive results during the week. These are grounded in your data, for example sticking to a specific session, keeping risk within limits, completing the pre-market routine on green days.
What Did Not Work
A list of two to four specific patterns that produced negative outcomes. These are identified from guardrail violations, loss clusters, emotion tags, and trade management deviations.
Next Week Focus
A single actionable priority for the following week. This is the most important output of the report. It is designed to be one thing, not a list of improvements, because focused change outperforms scattered intention.
What Data the AI Uses
The AI Analysis is generated from the following inputs for the selected week:
- All closed trade data including direction, instrument, session, duration, PnL, and R-multiples
- Guardrail violations and the reasons logged when overriding them
- Emotion tags at entry and exit across all trades
- Journal reflection notes from individual trades
- Pre-market routine completion status for each day
- Plan followed status across all trades
Tip: The more complete your journaling is across the week, the more specific and useful the AI Analysis will be. Weeks where most trades have emotion tags, reflection notes, and plan-followed status checked produce richer analysis than weeks with sparse data.
Adding Your Own Weekly Reflection
Below the AI Analysis, there is a Reflection field where you can write or record your own summary of the week. Use the microphone icon to record a voice note if you prefer speaking to typing. This reflection is stored alongside the AI Analysis and is visible when you revisit past weeks.
A useful weekly reflection addresses three things: what the AI identified that resonated with you, what the AI may have missed that you noticed from inside the trades, and what you are specifically committing to for the coming week.
Navigating Between Weeks
Use the Previous and Next Week buttons at the top-right of the Weekly Review page to move between weeks. Each week has its own AI Analysis generated independently.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the weekly AI report generated?
The report generates automatically at the end of the trading week. You can access the Weekly Review page at any point during or after the week.
Can I regenerate the AI Analysis for a past week?
The analysis is generated once based on the data available at the time. If you add or edit journal entries after the report is generated, the analysis will not automatically update.
What if I have very few trades in a week?
The AI Analysis will still generate with whatever data is available. Weeks with fewer trades will produce less detailed analysis. The report will reflect the data accurately regardless of trade count.
Does the AI make recommendations about my strategy?
No. The AI provides insights about your execution patterns and discipline data. It does not suggest new strategies, entry models, or changes to your trading system. The output is behavioural and process-focused, not strategic.
Is the weekly reflection I write visible anywhere else?
Your weekly reflection is stored on the Weekly Review page for that week and is accessible whenever you navigate back to it.
