How to Customize Your Charts in EdgeFlo

EdgeFlo's trading platform includes a TradingView Charting Library with tools for drawing, indicators, timeframe switching, symbol search, and chart resizing.

The chart inside EdgeFlo's trading platform is built on the TradingView Charting Library. It gives you drawing tools, technical indicators, multiple timeframes, and symbol search so you can do your full analysis without leaving the platform.

What you can customize

Switching timeframes

The timeframe selector is displayed along the top of the chart area. Select any timeframe by clicking it. Standard options include 1m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 4h, 1D, and 1W.

Searching for symbols

Click the symbol name at the top-left of the chart (e.g. GBPUSD) to open the symbol search. Type a currency pair name to find and load it on the chart.

You can also switch instruments by clicking directly on a pair in the Watchlist panel on the right sidebar. The chart will update to show that pair automatically.

Note: EdgeFlo currently supports Forex, Indices, Commodities, Crypto, and Stocks. Other asset classes are in development.

Drawing tools

The drawing toolbar runs along the left side of the chart. Tools available include trend lines, horizontal lines, rectangles, and other standard markup tools. Select a tool, then click and drag on the chart to place it.

To remove a drawing, click it to select it, then press Delete on your keyboard. You can also right-click a drawing for more options.

Adding indicators

Click the Indicators button at the top of the chart to open the indicator search. You can search by name and add indicators directly to the chart. Standard indicators such as moving averages, RSI, MACD, and Bollinger Bands are available.

To remove an indicator, hover over it on the chart until the indicator label appears, then click the X next to it.

Tip: EdgeFlo does not connect to your TradingView account. Indicators you have saved on TradingView.com are not automatically available here. You will need to add them fresh within EdgeFlo each session.

Zooming and scrolling

Use your mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out on the chart. Click and drag left or right to scroll through historical price data. Zoom and pan work smoothly across all timeframes.

Chart type

The chart type selector at the top of the chart allows you to switch between Candlestick, Bar, Line, and other display types. Click the chart type icon and select your preferred view.

Setting price alerts

You can set price alerts directly from the chart by clicking on a price level, or from the Alerts tab in the right sidebar. When a level is reached, EdgeFlo fires an in-app toast notification.

Alerts are available for price crossing a specific level (up or down). They are not signal-based and do not initiate trades automatically.

Viewing your trade plan beside the chart

The right sidebar has a Trade Plan tab that displays your active Edge plan next to the chart. This means your entry criteria, risk controls, and trade management rules are visible while you are analysing price, without needing to switch screens.

To activate this view, click the Trade Plan tab in the right sidebar. If you have an active Edge plan set, it will appear here automatically.

Known limitation: chart templates are not yet supported

EdgeFlo's chart is built on the TradingView Charting Library, which gives you access to core charting tools, indicators, and drawings inside the platform. At the moment, drawings can remain on the chart, but users cannot save personal chart templates, indicator presets, or full layout presets the same way they can on TradingView.

This means if you rely on a very specific saved chart setup, you may still need to manually recreate parts of that setup inside EdgeFlo. This is a current platform limitation, not a bug. Support for more advanced chart template saving may be added in a future update.

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect my TradingView account to use my saved indicators?

No. EdgeFlo's chart is powered by the TradingView Charting Library, which is separate from TradingView.com. There is no way to link your TradingView account or import saved layouts. You can add indicators directly within EdgeFlo using the Indicators panel.

Can I open the chart in a separate window for more screen space?

Detaching the chart into a separate window is not currently supported. You can expand the chart view using the resize controls in the toolbar to give yourself more space within the platform.

Which asset classes are available on the chart?

EdgeFlo currently supports Forex, Indices, Commodities, Crypto, and Stocks.
