What Assets Does EdgeFlo Support?

EdgeFlo supports Forex, Indices, Crypto, Metals, and Stocks. This article lists every supported instrument, explains how EdgeFlo adapts its interface for each asset class, and shows you how to find any instrument from the watchlist.

EdgeFlo is built for serious traders across all major markets. Whether you trade currency pairs, indices, crypto, gold, or stocks, the platform adapts its execution panel, position sizing, journal, and analytics to match the asset you are trading.

Every market has different rules, different sizing logic, and different risk. EdgeFlo is built to reflect that.. so your workflow feels correct regardless of what you trade.

Supported Asset Classes and Instruments

The following instruments appear in your watchlist by default, organized by category. All standard instruments available through your connected broker are searchable - only the default selections below appear in the watchlist out of the box to keep it clean.

How the Watchlist Is Organized

The default watchlist groups instruments by asset class in this order: Forex, Indices, Crypto, Metals, and Stocks. This keeps the most common instruments easy to find without crowding the list.

Watchlist panel with Forex, Indices, Crypto, Metals, and Stocks sections visible, each with their default instruments listed in order

Each instrument shows its full name and a category label so you always know what you are looking at. For example:

  • XAUUSD — Gold / US Dollar — Metals
  • NAS100 — Nasdaq 100 — Indices
  • BTCUSD — Bitcoin / US Dollar — Crypto
  • AAPL — Apple Inc. — Stocks

Finding instruments not in the default watchlist

All standard instruments available through your connected broker are searchable — not just the ones in the default watchlist. Click the search icon at the top of the watchlist and type a symbol or name to find any instrument your broker supports.

  • Type Gold or XAUUSD to find gold
  • Type Nasdaq or NAS100 to find the Nasdaq 100
  • Type Bitcoin or BTCUSD to find Bitcoin
  • Type a company name or ticker to find any stock your broker offers

Tip: If you cannot find an instrument by symbol, try its common name. If it still does not appear, the instrument may not be available on your connected broker account. Check your broker's instrument list to confirm.

How EdgeFlo Adapts by Asset Class

EdgeFlo does not apply forex logic to every market. The platform adjusts how it displays prices, calculates position size, labels fields, and records trades based on the asset class of the instrument you are trading.

Supported Trading Platforms

EdgeFlo connects to your broker through cTrader or MetaTrader (MT4/MT5) or Tradelocker (coming soon). Multi-asset support depends on what your broker makes available through these platforms.

  • cTrader: Supports Forex, Indices, Metals, Crypto CFDs, and Stock CFDs. Recommended for the best connection stability.
  • MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5: Support varies by broker. MT5 generally has broader multi-asset coverage than MT4.
  • Tradelocker (coming soon)

Note: Not all brokers offer every instrument on every platform. If an instrument from the list above does not appear when you search, it may not be available through your specific broker account. Check with your broker to confirm which markets they offer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all supported instruments appear in the watchlist by default?

No. The default watchlist shows a curated set of the most traded instruments per category to keep it organized. All standard instruments available through your connected broker are searchable using the search bar - the default list is just a starting point.

Why is Gold listed under Metals and not Commodities?

EdgeFlo organizes instruments by the category that best reflects how they trade and how traders think about them. Gold and Silver are grouped under Metals. If you are looking for them, search for XAUUSD or XAGUSD, or look in the Metals section of the watchlist.

My broker shows a different symbol name for gold. Which one do I use?

Brokers sometimes use different naming conventions for the same instrument. Gold may appear as XAUUSD, XAU/USD, GOLD, or similar variations. Search by name ("gold") rather than symbol if the exact ticker does not appear. If nothing comes up, the instrument may not be connected through your current account.

Does adding a new asset class change how my existing forex trades are displayed?

No. Existing forex trades in your journal are unaffected. EdgeFlo applies asset-aware formatting only to the relevant asset class. Forex trades continue to display pip-based data as before.

Are guardrails like Max Daily Loss and Max Trades Per Day still active for non-forex instruments?

Yes. All existing guardrails apply across every asset class you trade. Your daily loss limit, profit target, max trades, trading window, and news block all function the same way regardless of the instrument.
