If the MetaTrader password was recently changed through the broker's platform, EdgeFlo will lose its connection to that account. This happens automatically because the saved credentials are no longer valid.
What could be happening
- MetaTrader master password changed in the broker platform after the account was connected to EdgeFlo
How EdgeFlo shows this
One or more of the following will appear:
- Account card shows Disconnected
- A banner reading Connection lost: your MetaTrader password has changed. Update your password to reconnect.
- Sync details show Connection lost as the reason, not a generic sync failure
How to fix it
- In your broker portal, locate your Master Password. It is the password labelled as "Master" or "Main" (not "Investor" or "Read-only").
- Enter that password in the Master Password field in EdgeFlo.
- If you do not have your Master Password, you can reset it through your broker portal or directly inside the MetaTrader terminal.
Important: In this particular case, password resets are handled by your broker or through the MetaTrader platform itself, not inside EdgeFlo. If you cannot find the reset option in your broker portal, contact your broker directly.
