How to Update Your Payment Method in EdgeFlo

Updating your payment method in EdgeFlo takes under a minute through the Stripe Billing Portal. This article walks you through the process step by step.

EdgeFlo processes all payments through Stripe, a secure payment platform. You can update your card details at any time through the billing settings in the app. This is useful when a card expires, is replaced, or when a payment has failed and you need to add a new card to restore access.

How to update your payment method

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Under the Payment section, click Update payment method.
  3. You will be redirected to the Stripe Billing Portal.
  4. Enter your new card details: card number, expiry date, and CVV.
  5. Save your changes.
  6. You will be redirected back to EdgeFlo.

If you are updating your card because a payment failed, Stripe will automatically retry the payment after your new card is saved. You will receive a confirmation email when the charge succeeds.

Tip: You do not need to cancel and resubscribe to update your card. Updating the payment method in Billing preserves your subscription, plan, and all data without interruption.

Updating your card during a failed payment

If you see an in-app banner reading "Payment failed. Update your card to keep using the platform," this is your prompt to update your payment method.

  1. Click the Update payment method link in the banner, or navigate to Settings > Billing.
  2. Follow the steps above to add your new card.
  3. Stripe will retry the payment automatically within a few minutes.
  4. You will receive a receipt email once the payment succeeds.

Warning: If a payment failure is not resolved within the grace period, your account may move to a restricted state. Updating your card as soon as you see the notification prevents any interruption to your access.

FAQ

Can I add multiple cards to my account?

EdgeFlo's billing through Stripe supports one active payment method per subscription at a time. You can replace the card on file at any point.

Will updating my card change my billing date?

No. Updating your payment method does not affect your billing cycle or renewal date. Only the card details change.

I updated my card but the payment still shows as failed. What should I do?

Allow a few minutes for Stripe to process the retry. If the payment still shows as failed after 10 minutes, check that the card details were entered correctly in the Stripe portal. If the issue persists, contact support.

Is my card information stored securely?

Yes. EdgeFlo uses Stripe for all payment processing. Card details are stored and managed entirely by Stripe and are never accessible to EdgeFlo's team. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant.

Can I use PayPal or a bank transfer instead of a card?

EdgeFlo currently processes payments via credit and debit cards through Stripe.
