[TradeLocker] How to Open a HeroFX Account and Connect to EdgeFlo

This guide walks you through creating a HeroFX account, opening a demo or live trading account on TradeLocker, and connecting it to EdgeFlo so your trades sync automatically.

HeroFX is one of the brokers available on TradeLocker Hub. It accepts traders from most countries including the United States, has a $5 minimum deposit via crypto, and offers a free demo account so you can try the platform before committing real funds. Once your HeroFX account is set up and a trading account is created, connecting it to EdgeFlo takes under two minutes.

Step 1: Create your HeroFX account

Go to herofx.co and click Register at the top of the page.

Fill in the following fields:

First name and Last name
Email: use the email address you want linked to your trading account
Phone: select your country code from the dropdown
Password: enter and confirm your password

Check the box confirming you have read the Privacy Policy and Risk Disclosure, then click Register.

Step 2: Verify your login with the email code

After registering, HeroFX sends a verification code to your email address. Check your inbox for an email from noreply@herofx.co with the subject "Two factor login verification."

Enter the 6-digit code when prompted. The code is valid for 15 minutes. If it expires, you can request a new one from the login screen.

You will also receive a separate confirmation email with the subject "Your registration is completed" confirming your account is active. Sign in via portal.herofx.co.

Tip: Check your spam or junk folder if the verification email doesn't arrive within a minute or two. Add noreply@herofx.co to your contacts to avoid this in future.

Step 3: Open a trading account

After logging in, you land on the Accounts page. You will see two options at the top: complete your KYC (identity verification) or open a demo account. You can open a demo account immediately without completing KYC.

Opening a demo account

Click Create account under "Open a Demo Account." You will be taken to the account type selection screen, which shows three options.

Tradelocker - Demo Zero Commission	Demo account with low spreads and no commission. Best starting point for most traders.
Tradelocker - Demo Raw Spread	Demo account with raw spreads and a fixed commission per lot. Reflects the live Raw account conditions.
Tradelocker - Demo Contest	Join a free contest for real trading capital. Starts with $10,000 virtual balance, ranked by % gain.

Click + Create account next to the account type you want. A confirmation modal appears. Tick the Agreement to open an Account checkbox and click Create account.

A second modal confirms the account was created. You can click Deposit to add virtual funds now, or click Or return to accounts to do it later.

Adding virtual funds to your demo account

From the account detail page, click Deposit. A modal appears with a default amount of 1,000 USD. You can enter any amount you want to practice with, then click Deposit. The funds are added instantly.

Note: Demo account funds are virtual and cannot be withdrawn. They exist only for practice purposes. When you are ready to trade with real money, you will need to complete KYC and open a live account.

Step 4: Find your TradeLocker login credentials

To connect your HeroFX account to EdgeFlo via TradeLocker, you need three things. These are sent to your inbox by HeroFX after your trading account is created. Look for an email with the subject "New Trading Account created."

Login: your email address registered with HeroFX. This is always an email, never a numeric or alphanumeric account ID.
Password: the password provided by HeroFX in that email
Server: will show HEROFX

Keep this email open. You will need all three details in the next step.

Warning: Your TradeLocker login is your email address, not the numeric account ID shown in the HeroFX portal. If you enter an account number instead of your email, the connection will fail.

Step 5: Connect your HeroFX account to EdgeFlo

Open EdgeFlo and go to Settings, then the Integrations tab. Click Connect existing account, search for HeroFX, and select TradeLocker as the connection platform. Enter the credentials from your inbox email:

Email: the email address registered with HeroFX
Password: the password from the HeroFX account creation email
Server: enter HEROFX

Once connected, EdgeFlo will begin syncing your trades. For a demo account, your trading history and journal will start populating as soon as you place your first trade in TradeLocker.

Tip: Click the Trade button on your HeroFX account page to open TradeLocker directly in your browser and start exploring the platform before placing any trades.

Step 6: Complete your KYC to unlock live trading (optional for demo)

You do not need to complete KYC to use a demo account. However, to deposit real funds and trade live, you must verify your identity. HeroFX's KYC process has three steps.

From the Accounts page, click Verify identity to start the KYC process. Your account status will show as INCOMPLETE until all three steps are done.

Warning: You cannot deposit real funds or open a live TradeLocker account until your KYC is complete. HeroFX requires all three steps to be finished before activating live trading.

FAQ

Is the partner code mandatory?

No, but leave it filled in. The code (1432351) links your account to EdgeFlo's partner arrangement with HeroFX. Removing it does not affect your trading conditions but may affect your access to joint support.

Can I connect my demo account to EdgeFlo before going live?

Yes. EdgeFlo works with both demo and live accounts. Connecting your demo account first is a good way to verify the integration is working before you fund a real account.

What is the difference between the Zero Commission and Raw Spread demo accounts?

Zero Commission uses wider spreads with no per-trade fee. Raw Spread uses tighter spreads (sometimes as low as -0.4 pips) with a fixed commission per lot. If you plan to use raw spreads for live trading, practice with the Raw Spread demo to get accurate cost expectations.

How long does KYC verification take?

HeroFX does not publish a fixed timeframe. Most verifications are processed within one business day. You will receive an email when your KYC status changes. You can check your verification status from the Accounts page inside the HeroFX portal.
