Where To Find TradeLocker Broker Credentials

To connect your broker to EdgeFlo, you need three things: your login (email address), your TradeLocker password, and your broker's server name. This article explains where to find each one for every supported broker.

Every TradeLocker broker connection in EdgeFlo requires the same three credentials: a login, a password, and a server name. Where you find them depends on which broker you use. This article covers each one.

Warning: Your login is always the email address you registered with your broker — never a numeric or alphanumeric account ID. Using an account ID instead of your email address will cause the connection to fail.

Login Your email address The email address you used when registering with your broker. Same for all brokers.

A note on GatesFX: "Password: N/A"

GatesFX sends your TradeLocker password in the very first account creation email. If you create additional trading accounts later, the confirmation emails will show Password: N/A. This is not an error. GatesFX uses the same password across all accounts created under your profile, so the original password still applies.

Tip: Search your inbox for the earliest email from GatesFX with "account details" in the subject. Sort by oldest first to find it quickly. That email contains your TradeLocker password.

What if I cannot find my password?

If you cannot locate your password in the portal or your inbox, contact your broker's support team directly and ask them to resend your TradeLocker credentials or reset your TradeLocker password. Once you have the new password, use it to connect in EdgeFlo.

If you recently changed your broker account password and your EdgeFlo connection has gone offline, you will need to reconnect using the updated password. Go to Settings, then Integrations in EdgeFlo, disconnect the broker, and reconnect with the new credentials.

FAQ

Why does my login need to be an email address and not my account ID?

TradeLocker authenticates users by email address. The numeric or alphanumeric account ID shown in your broker portal is an internal reference number, not a login credential. EdgeFlo will return a connection error if an account ID is entered in the login field.

My email shows "Password: N/A". What do I do?

This happens with GatesFX when a second or later account is created. Your password has not changed — use the password from your very first GatesFX account creation email. See the GatesFX note above for details.

My connection keeps failing even though I have the right credentials. What should I check?

Double-check three things: (1) your login is your email address, not an account ID; (2) the server name matches exactly what is listed in the table above — spelling and capitalisation matter; (3) the password is your TradeLocker password, not your broker portal login password — these can be different.

Is my TradeLocker password the same as my broker portal password?

Not always. Your broker portal password is what you use to log into your broker's website. Your TradeLocker password is what EdgeFlo uses to connect to your trading account. Some brokers set these the same; others generate a separate TradeLocker password automatically. Check the table above to see where your specific broker sends it.

I changed my broker password. Do I need to update EdgeFlo?

Yes. If your TradeLocker password changes, your EdgeFlo connection will go offline. Go to Settings, then Integrations, disconnect your broker, and reconnect using the updated password.
