Why Aren't Charts Loading?

If the EdgeFlo chart is blank, spinning, or not loading instrument data, this article covers the most common causes and fixes.

The EdgeFlo chart is powered by TradingView's charting library and requires a stable internet connection and an active broker connection to load price data. If the chart is blank or stuck loading, work through the steps below.

Common causes and fixes

No internet connection or unstable connection

Check that your internet is working by loading another website in your browser. If you're on a VPN or corporate network, temporarily disable it and reload EdgeFlo to test.

Broker connection is disconnected

Chart data requires an active broker session. Check the sync status pill at the top of the Trading platform. If it shows Disconnected, go to Settings Integrations, remove your broker account, and reconnect it.

Broker price feed is down or delayed

EdgeFlo pulls live market data from your connected MetaTrader or cTrader broker account. If your broker's price feed is experiencing delays or downtime, the chart may fail to load or display stale data even if your sync status shows as connected.

To check if this is the cause:

  1. Open your MetaTrader or cTrader platform directly and confirm that live prices are updating there.
  2. If prices are frozen or delayed in your broker platform, the issue is on the broker side. Wait for their feed to restore.
  3. If prices are updating normally in your broker platform but not in EdgeFlo, go to Settings Integrations, remove your broker account, and reconnect it.

Market is closed for the selected instrument

Forex markets close over the weekend. If the chart appears blank or flat, the market may not be trading. The instrument label in the chart header will show a Market closed indicator.

MetaTrader chart performance

MetaTrader charts can load more slowly, especially when switching between timeframes. This is a known limitation of the MetaTrader connection. If you're experiencing slow chart responsiveness, try the steps below.

  1. Hard-refresh the page by pressing Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac).
  2. Close any other browser tabs or applications using significant system memory.
  3. If slowness persists, consider connecting via cTrader instead. cTrader generally provides more reliable and responsive chart performance inside EdgeFlo.

Browser cache or memory issue

Hard-refresh the page by pressing Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac). If that doesn't help, clear your browser cache and reload.

TradingView library issue

Occasionally the charting library itself fails to initialize. EdgeFlo now displays clearer error messages when the chart fails to load instead of showing a blank screen or infinite spinner. If you see an error message, you can share it with the support team to help diagnose the issue.

If the chart loads successfully on a second attempt, no further action is needed.

Browser extension conflict

Ad blockers, privacy extensions, or content filters can block TradingView scripts. Try loading EdgeFlo in a private or incognito window with extensions disabled to test this.

If none of the above resolves it

Contact EdgeFlo Support and include your browser version, operating system, and a screenshot of the blank or slow-loading chart.

FAQ

Why is my MetaTrader chart slower than cTrader?

MetaTrader's data feed integration can add latency, particularly when switching timeframes. cTrader has a more optimized connection for real-time price updates and chart rendering inside EdgeFlo.

Will my chart work if I'm on a corporate network?

Corporate firewalls or VPNs can sometimes block connections to TradingView or your broker's price feed. Try disabling your VPN and reloading to test. If it works, contact your IT department about whitelisting EdgeFlo.

Can I use multiple broker connections at once?

EdgeFlo currently supports one active broker connection at a time. You can switch between connections in Settings Integrations, but only one will feed data to your chart.

What if my broker's MetaTrader feed is unreliable?

Some brokers have less stable price feeds than others. If your broker's MetaTrader connection is consistently slow or dropping, consider switching to a cTrader connection if your broker supports it.

Does clearing my browser cache delete my EdgeFlo data?

No. Clearing cache only removes temporary browser files. Your trading journal, trade plans, settings, and all other data are stored securely on EdgeFlo's servers and will not be affected.
